SUP Yoga Classes

Sup Yoga provides a truly magical and mindful experience on the water.

We provide premium quality, Red Paddle Co purpose made yoga boards. The whole deck pad is one large yoga mat giving a you the opportunity to move more freely than when on a traditional SUP board. They provide a super stable, safe and comfortable platform.

SUP Yoga is fantastic for building better balance, flexibility, coordination, endurance, strength and neuro-muscular training.  It truly is a mindful, workout on the water. It can be as calming or active as you choose – you are in control. Many pose variations are offered during the classes.  If you have any physical limitations please discuss these prior to your class to ensure you receive appropriate variations for your needs and enjoyment.

What to expect:

Sessions are fun, engaging, and low impact combining a traditional yoga practice  (pranayama breathing techniques, asana postures, with kinetic chain exercises (eg push-ups, plank, squats , twists ) and of course an opportunity for relaxation. Aiming to inspiring and provide long term health and wellness.  We aim to deliver a peaceful and dynamic experience on the water and our small group sizes ensure you receive lots of personal attention and assistance.

 

Experienced Yogi? Bring your practice on to the water and feel the difference – a heightened awareness of muscle activation and use of breath to flow.

 

Wellbeing SUP Yoga is a unique experience which incorporates an intro to SUP and a gentle paddle to our sheltered outdoor yoga studio. You can then feel the difference in your body, your state of mind and confidence as we paddle back to our starting point.

Session duration:

All sessions are 90 mins in duration

Session cost:

  • Small, intimate groups (min. 2 and max 4 SUP yogis) $75pp

  • Three SUP Yoga Session Package - Purchase 3 sessions for yourself or to share with family/friends for only $65pp per session.

Seasonality:

SUP Yoga season runs from late October through to end April (weather and conditions permitting).

Locations:

Melbourne’s beautiful bay is a wonderland and fun water playground - the changing scenery and varying conditions keep you in the moment adding a touch of mindfulness to your day.

Our group sessions are generally based  in Half Moon Bay, Black Rock, or Mothers Beach, Mornington. However, we do offer more flexibility on locations to suit your requirements, conditions dependent of course.

  • Paddle (adjustable) and leg rope (for your intro paddle)

  • Anchors for our floating outdoor studio

  • Sun protection rash top

  • PFD’s available on request

  • Suncreen

  • Expert instruction from a Yoga Australia and Yoga Alliance qualified instructor and experienced Surfing Australia SUP Coach

What to bring:

  • Wear comfortable clothing you are ok getting wet in

  • Drinking water

  • Hat

  • Towel

  • Change of clothing

  • A sense of fun and adventure and your smile!
